Comments about Zig Zag:

The print is quite good with very little damage.
This is another extremely competent DVD transfer. Detail is excellent, clarity pleasing and contrast handled with good precision. The color-scheme is also very convincing.
The dialog is clear, clean and easy to follow.

RECOMMENDED!

      Comments about Zig Zag:

FACED WITH A FATAL BRAIN TUMOR, INSURANCE INVESTIGATOR GEORGE KENNEDY CONCEIVES A SEEMINGLY BRILLIANT PLAN TO PROTECT HIS FAMILY. HE TAKES THE RAP FOR THE DISAPPEARANCE AND MURDER OF FINANCIAL MOGUL ROBERT PATTEN. ONCE DIRECTOR RICHARD COLLA HAS ESTABLISHED THE BASIC STORYLINE, HE CURVES- OR ZIG-ZAGS- BETWEEN KENNEDY'S DILEMMA WITH WIFE ANNE JACKSON, AND ATTORNEY ELI WALLACH AND DA STEVE IHNAT - AND PATTEN'S INNER CIRCLE- CONSISTING OF WIDOW CHARLENE HOLT- AND ASSOCIATES DANA ELCAR, STEWART MOSS AND WALTER BOOKE WITH DAUGHTER PAMELA MURPHY AS AN INTRIGUING ELEMENT. SOME OF THE ASSOCIATES HAVE QUESTIONABLE MOTIVES - AND KENNEDY MIRACULOUSLY SURVIVES WITH A NEW TUMOR THERAPY AND IS THUS LEFT WITH A HAUNTING DILEMMA. DISCOVERING THE TRUTH FROM AN INCIDENT INVOLVING A MERCEDES-BENZ, KENNEDY IS LAUNCHED INTO AN UNEXPECTED AND MOUNTING CLIMAX, SUPERBLY PHOTOGRAPHED IN THE DARK AMIDST POLICE INVOLVEMENT AND THE GUILTY PARTIES. RICHARD COLLA MAINTAINS HIS TAUT DIRECTION THROUGH EVERY SCENE -AND JOAN TOMPKINS PROJECTS AUTHORITY AS THE JUDGE, WILLIAM MARSHALL AS A CLUB OWNER AIDING KENNEDY AND ROBERT SAMPSON AS AN INTERMEDIARY ACTING ON THE INTRIGUES OF STEWART MOSS. ELI WALLACH AND ANNE JACKSON ARE, AS USUAL, SUPERB, AND THE LATE STEVE IHNAT PROJECTS THE PERFECT NOTE AS THE AMBITIOUS DA. ONE OF THE BEST SUSPENSE FILMS TO COME OUT OF THE 1970S
