Comments about Wrath of God, The:

Robert Mitchum plays "Father" Oliver Van Horne who, along with two other adventurers, is conscripted by a South American colonel to kill a counter-revolutionary leader in a small village. The problem is that the leader has a psychopathic hatred for priests.
Mitchum is pretty much on auto-pilot in this one, but that's better than most actors at full throttle! Victor Buono provides color as a Sidney Greenstreet-ish villian, turned reluctant hero. Frank Langella is chilling as the priest hating leader and Gregory Sierra puts in an admirable performance as Langella's sadistic right hand man. A great memory from my youth!

Comments about Wrath of God, The:

The transfer( widescreen all right) looks "OK" generally it's a sharp, and solid image, however it's uneven in spots, with some softness and scratches, and a few bad frames.
Only reel problem between chapter 26 and 27 (1h21 and 1h24) print really damaged.
The audio track is quite good:clear and clean.
              Watchable print.

Robert Mitchum starring as a hoodlum priest with a machine gun is more than enough to get my vote!

Comments about Wrath of God, The:

THIS WAS A SURPRISINGLY GOOD MOVIE. IT HAD ACTION,DRAMA,ROMANCE,AND EVEN A LITTLE BIT OF LOW KEY HUMOR.IT NEVER BORED ME DURING THE 111 MINUTES EVEN THOUGH THE PLOT LINE WAS NOTHING NEW. THE CAST WAS TERRIFIC-ROBERT MITCHUM-ALWAYS GREAT,A YOUNG FRANK LANGELLA,VICTOR BUONO,AND OTHERS.RITA HAYWORTH IN HER LAST MOVIE HAD A SMALL BUT IMPORTANT ROLE.
