Comments about Where the Wild Things Are Blu-ray:

The expansion of what was 8 lines of text into a 100+ minutes was well done.My sole complaint was Max ran away instead of having the forest grow in his room, but I think this was an "updating", which also set the scene for mom to worry over where he's been. What none of the reviews I read pointed out was that any family that includes an ADHD child with control issues will recognize their own family member in Max, and be touched as Max tries to bring all the "Wild Things" of his heart and mind into harmony.
Our 6 year old loved it for the monsters and action, the 10 year old and his paents loved it for both. Remember to have the tissues handy at the end. For all you not blessed with an ADHD child, every child has their own Wild Things to integrate into a harmonious home, and it is mom or dad being there tht makes it possible. Loved it!
The storm was kind of scary for the 6 year old, but the rest shouldn't bother kids who aren't too timid about rough housing.

Comments about Where the Wild Things Are Blu-ray:

We view this movie at home with the family and also invite others to watch it during family gatherings. The great thing about it is that it is close to the book story. That this movie draws such raw emotions that tug at one's heart, not sure if this is good for young viewers (specifically under 10 yrs of age).
