    Comments about Untamed:

Untamed is a delightfully entertaining film. A wonderful comedy ,romance drama. While Joan Crawford and Robert Montgomery are excellent in their roles. Special attention should be made to the performance of delightful character actor Scottish born Ernest Torrence. He is quite the comical character and nearly steals his scene's. He is that great a performer. He can also be seen in the fine silent drama "Across to Singapore". Both films are highly recommended by me. The film is of excellent quality considering it's age .

        Comments about Untamed:

Fascinating to see Joan Crawford's first talkie, which almost feels like two different movies. How they got her from being a gal in the jungle to a rich young beauty in swanky New York is well, ridiculous, but that's part of the fun.

She sings, she dances, Robert Montgomery looks like he's right out of prep school, and the whole shebang is a hoot for Crawford fans, and fascinating as a piece of Hollywood history. This is a VERY early talkie, and the quality of both picture and sound is excellent on this new DVD, especially considering the time period during which this film was produced. The audio quality is particularly improved from what I remember from having seen this film on TV where you couldn't understand any of the dialogue there was so much distortion. Not any more. I'm very pleased with this release, and recommend UNTAMED for both Crawford fans and film buffs interested in this unique period of cinema history.

        Oh, dear

        Comments about Untamed:

Joan Crawford "sings" and "dances" - in a ghastly talkie debut. I guess it's one of those "so bad that it's good" movies, but it really is only for hardcore Joan lovers who can take to their heart a performance like this one.
