            Comments about Threat, The (1949):

The print is quite damaged, really 'low image': It's uneven in spots, with some softness and scratches, a few bad frame and the audio track is quite damaged also.
Really low print for a very Fine "Film Noir"
The film source print is in need of restoration for sure!.

MOVIE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED DVD NOT SO MUCH !

              Comments about Threat, The (1949):

An RKO NOIR hit starring the fantastic Charles McGraw. He was always memorable as either a thug or a cop! This is one hard edged crime film! Nice transfer and moves quickly!

                  Comments about Threat, The (1949):

This is one of several classic film noir B movies produced by RKO in the late forties-early fifties. The best of these feature Charles McGraw as a tough hoodlum or gangster, and Richard Fleischer of the movie family (Popeye cartoons, etal.) behind the camera. "The Threat" rates favorably with the very best of the period ("Narrow Margin" 1952) which is available on DVD. I would encourage the Warner Archive to release "Roadblock" with McGraw as a tough cop who melts for a femme fatale.
