Comments about Steven Spielberg Presents Tiny Toon Adventures: Volume 3:

Tiny Toon Adventures is back with a batch of never-before-released-on-DVD episodes! While the cartoon content is supurb as is the rest of the series, I do have some problems with this release. This is the first DVD installment of Tiny Toons that seems incredibly cheap. First off, the plastic DVD holder inside was broken upon purchase. It's not sturdy at all, so be gentle with your copy. Secondly, it's simply called "Volume 3", breaking away from "Season 1 Volume 1", "Season 1 Volume 2", etc. order. It doesn't address that this release is actually season 2 and part of season 3. Secondly, this is the first DVD set of WB cartoons from this era of animation that does not include Dolby 5.1 Surround sound. It's not a neccessary element but without it, it seems rushed combined with the fact that the DVD menus are horrid. It's the type of quality you see on free home DVD burning software. Previous releases were handled with care and made the menus feel in-tune with the show itself. These menus are blank and generic. Ultimately, these new downgraded additions don't make the set not worth buying. The content is hilarious as it ever was and that's what really matters. Stay toony and don't hesitate to add this one to your animation collection!
