Comments about Quo Vadis (BD) Blu-ray:

Saw it in '51 when I was in first grade. Never had seen it since, until this. Interesting, the lush blu ray dazzle helped.

It is sort of like a Technicolor remake of SIGN OF THE CROSS really, without DeMile at the helm . Fun, but hokey. Peter Ustinov is terrific as Nero. I remembered him from 60 years ago.

Comments about Quo Vadis (BD) Blu-ray:

Several years in the making at an estimated cost of 7 million, MGM's remake of Quo Vadis helped define the Biblical spectacle of the fifties. Leo Genn is suitably droll as Petronius, but the the film really belongs to the scene-stealing Ustinov as the anti-Christ, Nero. Now, simply sensational in blu-ray.

Comments about Quo Vadis (BD) Blu-ray:

Warner did a great job restoring the color and image of this classic 1951 film, but the sound level leaves much to be desired. I had to turn my amplifier almost to the top to get the desired sound I wanted. Just remember to turn it back down before you hit your source button to return to regular modern broadcasts or you'll blow your speakers.
