Comments about Nutcracker, The (1965 TV SP) (MOD):

Remembered this TV special from when I was a kid and was glad to be offered a chance to see it again. Eddie Albert does a wonderful job narrating and I still love this charming version of the story as it differs from other Nutcracker versions we own. The story was just as I remembered but must say we were disappointed that no attempt was made to clean up the picture. It was flawed and disappointingly murky sometimes ...sad to not see it restored to the quality of what one remembered when 1st broadcasted.

Comments about Nutcracker, The (1965 TV SP) (MOD):

This is a 1-hour television broadcast with Patricia McBride as Marie/Clara; Edward Villella as the Nutcracker/Prince; Melissa Hayden as the Sugarplum. Villella partners both McBride & Hayden. It was filmed in a very tight studio space. The other dancers are from Europe and the narration by Eddy Albert is sweetly saccharine.

Comments about Nutcracker, The (1965 TV SP) (MOD):

I use for my personal viewing pleasure. I love the Nutcracker, but was disappointed with this version, which really changed the story. For Small children it would be great, for people who know the Nutcracke Ballet, not good.
