Comments about It's Always Fair Weather (1955) (BD)(MOD):

For the first time the film is in it's original aspect - with great color and music with some great musical numbers mention in the commentary but cut from the release prints

Comments about It's Always Fair Weather (1955) (BD)(MOD):

Clever, bitterly sardonic look at not communicating with best friends for ten years, and then finding the reunion disappointing. The original premise was ten years after the three sailors in ON THE TOWN, but they couldn't get that particular trio together; so, it's three infantry men in 1955, trying to duplicate the camaraderie of wartime in 50's Manhattan. Gene Kelly has a phenomenal dance on roller skates down the backlot NY street that, by itself, is worth a flock of other MGM musicals. Saw this in the theaters in '55, bought the laser disc, the dvd and now the blu ray. I am a fan.
