Comments about If You Knew Susie (1948):

If You Knew Susie was Eddie Cantor's last leading role, and it shows. Cantor and Davis try hard, but their acting is broad and seems antiquated and tired. The story holds much promise, but while the characters are enthusiastic, it just gel together in the end.
Picture and audio are fantastic, however. Very sharp!

Comments about If You Knew Susie (1948):

If you are a big fan of Joan Davis, you will enjoy If You Knew Susie (1948) which centers around a couple, Eddie Cantor and Joan Davis, who are recently retired from show business, but real life does not go as planned. There are some nice songs and dances and a very amusing operatic sequence in flashback, directly taken from the film, Show Business (1944). The print quality and sound are excellent.
