I have the regular DVDs and the Ultimate Editions. Of the Utimate Editions, only Christopher Columbus (director of films 1 & 2) went through and re-edited an EXTENDED EDITION or Director's Cut. Films 3 thru 8 are NOT currently extended on the Ultimate Editions, nor do I think they ever will be.The original film was the prototype and they were worried it wouldn't be successful enough to create sequels (like Golden Compass) so they were trying to keep the length of the film down to 2 hours as they believed it was geared towards very young people with limited attention spans. After the first 3 films were so successful, they decided to go back and add crucial scenes that were cut from the first film and aired it on ABC TV (Disney). The same followed with the 2nd film in due time. Most likely, Disney TV made an offer to Chris Columbus ~ and it would be likely that he was already interested in doing a Director's Cut since he had to edit out so many scenes. If you look at deleted scenes on the other DVDs (3-8), there aren't that many and the Director commentary re-enforces that they did not want the scene(s) in the final version of the film for a reason.Certainly, Alfonso Cuaron will NOT be extended his film #3 (Cuaron hardly had ANY deleted scenes and in an interview said he filmed exactly what he wanted to - no more, no less), nor do I believe the other 2 directors (films 4-8) are interested in altering their theatre-versions of the films.I'm also equally sure that WB would not bring in some editing hack on their own to try an lengthen 3-8 without the directors being involved. Therefore, my belief is that this is, indeed, going to be the most complete versions of the films (like the Ultimate versions) but just in nicer packaging and with some additional extras.

Sure, it certainly seems like a great collection, however, why are there only extended cuts of the first two movies included? What about the rest of the movies? If I'm going to shell out THIS much money then I would expect to get EVERYTHING. I have the Complete Collection of LOST on Blu-Ray that cost 150 bucks. Six Seasons, way longer than the Harry Potter Series, and it had everything you could possibly have. So why would I pay this much when I'm not getting 100%?I contacted WB to ask them this, and hopefully I get a response because I'd really like to know where WB's head is at with this. I love Harry Potter, yes, I do want the set, but not at that price if you don't get every single thing regarding the movies. My opinion is this does a disservice to the fans such as myself, who are very willing to shell out that much, but want it to be worth that much money at the same time.

I was very surprised when the box arrived, I didn't expect it to be big. But it is perfect! It looks really good and I love how it opens (like the box the weasley twins use to sell their magic items from at school) I was expecting some more replica items when I noticed how big the box was, but I'm still very pleased. It's definitely about the movies, so if you're looking for the ultimate Harry Potter MOVIE collection this is it, it has everything you could want or need in that aspect. And it also comes with some cool replicas like the locket holcrux, and a tapestry map of hogwarts. Worth the price if you're a huge Harry Potter fan. :)

About Me Casual Viewer
This includes all the films in their complete form. Several extra's and a cool Harry Potterish box. I got it during a good sale but it is a bit expensive especially if you already have all the blue ray discs. It's worth if it you're a big fan, especially if you don't already have the Blue Rays. It is well packed/secured for shipping.
Great for a HP fan
So glad I bought this set!!

We have this Wizard's Collection on display with other HP collectibles but on movie night, it magically opens for all to have fun watching the movies and to learn more about the movie series. The compartments have great extras too. The artwork held within is beautifully done and of framing quality! The COA that comes with the 31 disc set is an added bonus to all that is contained within this cube. Just add popcorn and pumpkin juice and you have a great time!!
Love this set!!
