Comments about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack CD:
I love listening to this as scenes from the movie are going through my mind, but even as a wonderful piece of music it can stand alone.

It's Harry Potter!
About Me Adult
It's a CD soundtrack of a movie I love, so what's not to love about the CD. Oh, except the case came cracked, but not the CD.

Lovely, but disappointing
from New York City
Mr. Desplat's score, as all of his are, is wonderful and appropriate and the recording is superb. However, it being the final installment of the franchise, I was VERY disappointed that the final 2 cues were omitted from the recording. The piece underscoring the last scene of the film is an extended arrangement—beautifully done and packing a great deal of emotion into the film's conclusion—of John Williams' finale of the original film. I was itching to hear it, but then found only Mr. Desplat's music was included. Plus the first part of the credits were also accompanied my Mr. Williams' original themes. We may have heard them before in other guises, but the arrangements in Deathly Hallows were definitely worth preserving on CD. Seems too much a bit of sour grapes on Desplat's part.
