Comments about Girl From U.N.C.L.E., The: The Complete Pack (Part 1 & 2):

I have a somewhat dim recollection of watching "The Girl from U.N.C.L.E." back in the mid-sixties when the series originally was broadcast. I enjoyed it then, and I have been waiting for some time for it become available on DVD. When I saw this set was published, I jumped at the opportunity to order it, and I was quite pleased with the result.

The DVDs were shipped very quickly, and arrived in great shape. I would have to call this a no-frills set, with what i understand are print-on-demand discs, but they come with attractive labels and are packaged in professionally designed plastic cases. The transfers of the film to DVD are excellent; the picture and sound are of fine quality.

I cannot say that the episodes themselves are of undying quality in terms of writing, plot, and dialogue, but I find them very entertaining for several reasons. First, Stefanie Powers has a carefree attitude and she is an excellent actor who projects a refreshing image as the "girl" agent of U.N.C.L.E. Second, there are some exotic locales and situations. Third, there a number of well-known faces from the past, including Wally Cox, Signe Hasso, Ruth Roman, Alejandro Rey, and many others.

So, overall, I found this set to offer hours of light and frothy entertainment.

The Girl From U.N.C.L.E. is finally available on DVD! If you are an U.N.C.L.E. fan get it while you can. Stephanie Powers is perfect as April Dancer and Noel Harrison does a great job as Mark Slate. Imaginative scripts penned by creative writers such as Richard Matheson ("The Atlantis Affair") Retro 1960's secret agent fun at its best! Superb music by Richard Shores and Dave Grusin.

Enjoying this set. So far it has played fine though we have not finished watching all of them. It has a great picture and it is fun to see the mod clothes, great cars and settings in this campy spinoff of U.N.C.L.E.

I'm so happy they released this complete set! Even thought the series didn't last long, I enjoyed it just as much as the Man from UNCLE.

The complete Girl From U.N.C.L.E. is finally available on DVD... how cool is that? Even campier than the Man from U.N.C.L.E., this series is a lot of oddball fun. If you liked Get Smart; The Man from U.N.C.L.E.; or The Wild, Wild West; you will probably enjoy this series.

It looks remarkably good considering its age and the fact that WB did no clean-up on the source material. (This is not meant as a slam against the WB as the lack of touch-up is mentioned in the descriptive copy.) Interestingly enough, the age tends to show most on the stock footage.

Fun stuff, a reminder of better days. Great old spy stuff, kind of cheesy now. Could be cut to 30 minutes, but that would be less time to see Stefanie!

It is really fantastic to have these to complete the U.N.C.L.E. material. With many of the same people involved as on the Man from U.N.C.L.E. the shows are great fun. The only reason i didn't give 5 stars is that they are not remastered and there is no bonus material. The quality of the shows is very good though, even without any remastering. A must have for us U.N.C.L.E. fans, and should be considered by any fans of 60's T.V. shows.
