I really loved this show as a kid in the 70's. It is kind of a copy cat of Scooby Doo which is my favorite cartoon of all time. But Funky Phantom is a caool character in his owm way and his cat rocks. It brings back a lot of great memories of my childhood getting up early Saturday morning and watching cartoons and eating cereal :)

I bought this because an enjoyable episode appeared on the DVD release 1970s Cartoons. I like the series as it was created to mimic the success of Scooby-Doo.

Familiar with many H-B shows and look forward to more, however... disc 4's mastering leaves a bit to be desired. Five episodes on a single-layer disc means lower bit-rate for each episode but it wasn't maxed out. Each of the five eps. suffer at least a bit. Some won't be bothered by this but the most glaring spot is when blocking appears at the 14min mark for approx. 20 seconds. on April's Foolish Day. Cust. Svc suggests replacement/refund but this is not a defect but a conversion issue. Multiple passes during the video conversion to create the DVD master would prevent such issues. I can only hope future sets are handled with more care. I have sample images for reference but will refrain. I feel self concious for this critique but if WB is able to look closer at the mastering process this can only benefit us all. In any case, keep them coming!

One of my all-time favorites! Finally on DVD! Thanks WB Archive for making this release happen. It was great to see these again (the episodes look great!), and in broadcast order, no less. Looking forward to more and more and more HB releases!

This set is unique, but you probably have it down if you plan on purchasing this one. Personally, I have a lot of others that I cherish more, but it is worth adding if you are a fan of HB. The formula stays the same. However, for old fans like me, that is fine. I like the trek back in time.

I grew up watching a lot of Hanna Barbera cartoons and it is wonderful to finally be able to own them on DVD. My children love them too. It is great to share them with my family.

This 4-DVD box set of the 1971 Hanna-Barbera series (originally aired on ABC) was a pleasant surprise, which bought back childhood memories of watching endless Saturday Morning cartoons. Though the animation is nothing spectacular (as was the case with much of the Hanna-Barbera output during this period), the vocal talent, led by veteran extrodinare Daws Butler, Mickey Dolenz, Tina Holland, and Tommy Cook was the series'saving grace, along with writing by Mike Maltese among others from the studio's glory days of Huckleberry Hound and Yogi Bear.
