        Comments about Doughboys:

Picture Quality and Sound are quite damaged, really 'average image',black levels were 'good' from time to time, sharp also, and the audio track is not so good too. It's uneven in spots, with some softness and scratches and a few bad frame.
Regarding the age of the "film" is still watchable print.

          Comments about Doughboys:

It was and it was not--exactly what I expected. It was slightly disappointing in that it was not one of Keatons best efforts--but then again--you CANT compare it to classic like: The General--etc. However, I dont blame Keaton at all because he is always great in what I see him in--but when you get next to nothing to work with as well as a mostly "no-name" cast--what can you expect?

The movie is worthy of being in collections if your a Keaton fan? but if you were expecting The General--like in quality ans such? it isnt in the same caliber as General was.

          Comments about Doughboys:

"Doughboys" is definitely one of Buster Keaton's better talkies, with great assistance by Cliff Edwards on the ukulele. Warner Archive has done a really good job on presenting this one. Image is sharp, sound is good.
