Comments about Death of a Scoundrel:

The transfer( widescreen all right) looks "good". Generally it's a sharp, and solid image, however it's uneven in white spots, with some softness and scratches.
The audio track is quite good:clear and clean.
          Quite good print.

          HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Comments about Death of a Scoundrel:

clever dialogue, great camera work, a couple extremely beautiful women (DeCarlo & Gabor), and a disappointing ending (but it was made in the 50s, before crime paid).

Comments about Death of a Scoundrel:

Hadn't seen this film in decades, just remembered that I'd liked it at the time. It's held up very well on the whole. George Sanders seems to be overacting a bit in the early scenes but soon settles nicely (or, rather, nastily) in to his role as the clever but amoral Clementi Sabourin.

Comments about Death of a Scoundrel:

The great George Sanders is at his best in this classy film noir about an immigrants rise to power in the sleazy American stock market. The assortment of babes in this picture is terrific and Zsa Zsa is a riot in her bit. All the intrigue and corruption is underscored by the great Max Steiner.
A fine print, presented in widescreen Academy ratio for the first time on video, is well worth checking out.
