Comments about Challenge of the Gobots: The Series Volume 1 (30eps):
I'm so glad to have the first 30 episodes (after the 5-part miniseries) of this classic on DVD. I hope the rest of the series and the movie involving the Rock Lords will be available on DVD in the future.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I've been waiting for more Gobots releases since the first miniseries was released, so when I saw this set available, I ordered 2 copies immediately. The episodes all look crisp, and the sound is excellent! If you like stories about robots that turn into things, want to relive a little bit of your 80's childhood, or even just like classic Hanna Barbera animation, this is an awesome set!I'm now eagerly anticipating the release of a Volume 2!

Cykill is the most cheesy most awesome name for a motor cycle. Please complete the collection. 30 episodes is Awesome. The worst thing about this set is its missing the other half. THIS IS AWESOME MUST BUY!!!
Classic 80s Animated/Toy Fare

"Challenge of the Gobots" was Hanna-Barbera's syndicated fore into the world of two bands of rival alien robots who became vehicles. There was also a toyline.I first saw these quite frequently in reruns on "The USA Cartoon Express" block. Between this collection of thirty episodes and the previously released miniseries, 35 of 65 episodes have seen release on DVD.I have only watched a handful of my favorite episodes so far, so I can't speak for the production value on all of them. However, "Tarnished Image" does have a particular 20 second scene that repeats itself about 2/3 of the way through the episode. Either way, the struggle raging from Gobotron to Earth between Leader 1's Guardians and Cy-Kill's Renegades is slowly but surely coming home! Waiting for Volume 2 (the other thirty episodes).
