neuroscientist discovering imortality planted a tree seed to wifes grave...logicaly, the tree will rise, neuroscientist become immortal...and in the future, he will travel to dying star, with tree rised from his wifes grave...he is still hoping that he will rescue his wife - tree avatar...

Ok, first of all, Fast Frankie, you're a moron. Don't rag on a movie just because your tiny little brain can't understand the concept, when obviously other people can. Have you ever considered that maybe your entertainment setup is lacking, or maybe, just maybe, THE MOVIE IS SUPPOSED TO BE DARKLY LIT!!!! DUH!! Man, I typically don't bash on fools who have no idea what they're talking about but this guy is just an idiot and well-worth bashing on. The Fountain is a fantastic movie with brilliant cinematography. I would suggest it to EVERY ONE! I have shown viewings of this movie to a bunch of people and have never heard a negative response. YOU WILL LOVE THIS MOVIE! It will easily be added to your favorites list.

For a BLU-RAY, this s a dark movie. Looks no better than a standard DVD. Very hard to follow and not worth the purchase.

An excellent philosophical thrill.
This movie is about defying Death, and finding true meaning in existence and life.
Very engaging, beautiful scenes and wonderful music.

Although I may be partially biased, I am obsessive over this movie and you may be soon as well.
