I LOVE 60s looking movies so I bought this. I had never seen this one before. I expected something else I'm afraid. However, in this case I was a little disappointed. I expected more flair. It just didn't have that zing to it. Overall it was ok and had that 60s style to it that I enjoy. I really wish Janis Page had been in the role in stead of Kim Novak. Janis Page has the star quality and presence that this movie was missing. Otherwise I'd say it was ok.

BOYS NIGHT OUT is finally available remastered on DVD. Pillow Talk has had more said about it and its social reflection then this little gem from the same director. This is the era when Playboy magazine and "The Pill" were becoming major influences on the so-called Sex Revolution in the US. Boys Night Out is a sex comedy that is very much tied to this time, which in this case quickly dates it but that is true of most comedy. Next to Pillow Talk, I personally feel Boys Night Out is the better film. With Boys Night Out we just have more fun - the writing is better, the directing/editing is tighter and the cast is superb. And what a cast, you can't go wrong with Kim Novak and James Garner and the many supporting actors are Hollywood's best. Note: The title song's clever lyrics were written by the great Sammy Cahn and sung by cast member Patti Page. So set your sexual mores back to 1962 and sit back and enjoy this light romp of lust and love. Recommended!

My wife practically wore out the VHS version of this movie she constantly borrowed from the local library. We've been waiting for it to be available on DVD. Imagine my surprise when I saw it was remastered. It looks better than we've ever seen it! My wife is so happy! The DVD looks great, the story is funny and the comedy is classy, not lewd the way it would be portrayed by today's directors. It is fun and interesting. This DVD is going to get a lot of viewings.

Derivative of THE APARTMENT, but still lots of fun. Kim Novak is glammed up differently for every scene, and looks spectacular each time out. Decent color transfer for the DVD.
