Comments about Beyond A Reasonable Doubt:

1950's anti-capital punishment flick. Dana Andrews and Joan Fontaine are excellent in this melodrama. The plot is a bit stretched to focus on the anti-capital punishment agenda. Still worth a look.

Comments about Beyond A Reasonable Doubt:

i saw this movie many years ago and it engrossed and astonished me. the dvd itself is of course a DVD-R but is still above average quality in both video and audio. to divulge any plot details wouldn't be fair to those who haven't seen it.

Comments about Beyond A Reasonable Doubt:

After several deception from WB Archive Remastered Edition Program, i was please (Very watchable print) with this copy of another classic film from F.Lang and D.Andrews.
Preserving the original screen ratio:"R.K.O-Scope" with a solid audio track!
However this edition is not flawless there are lots of white specks, a few bad frames... so the print is still damaged but like "While the city sleeps"( much more damaged) this is the best way to enjoy those Masterpieces so far!

        HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Comments about Beyond A Reasonable Doubt:

The most powerful anti-capital punishment film ever made. Trenchant comment on judicial complacency. Fritz Lang's work here is nothing less than brilliant. A flawless cast -- Dana Andrews was never better, a timeless performance -- and a remarkably multi-layered script grip the audience from the opening shot to the shattering ending. Maybe the greatest legal thriller of all time. This Warner Archive copy is excellent, the B&W photography pristine. Yet another Fritz Lang/Dana Andrews masterpiece.
