    Comments about Bedevilled:

I found the picture quality just "ok" not great for a remastered edition, still there are lots of white specks, and a few bad frames.
This audio track is quite damaged: not always clear, and not always clean at all.
The film source print is in need of restoration.
However WB Archive's DVD is preserving the original screen ratio:"Cinemascope" but sadly this print is still little "fade" for this "Metrocolor" production!

      Comments about Bedevilled:

A perfect part for Anne Baxter, and she delivers with a heavy hand to make up for the overly stuffed shirt of leading man Steve Forrest. CinemaScope is on location in Paris for this noir rendevous between a femme fatale and an aspiring priest. The high point is the scope photography, but glossy potboilers like this are fun if you're in the mood.
The print is a very good one, and the stereophonic soundtrack is intact. Strangely, the Alwyn music score must have been recorded monaurally in England, because it sticks to the center channel, while the dialogue and effects tracks are directional across the front soundstage. A must for 1950's CinemaScope fans.

      Comments about Bedevilled:

Its great to see how Anne Baxter acts in a technicolor
melodrama, specially if you like her in "All
ABOUT EVE" and "The Razor's Edge", her intense
emotions are all there for you to FEEL and SAVOR,
and what a trip that was ! This RARE gem is a
      REAL PLEASURE !
