Comments about Batman Complete Series (Repackage/Blu-ray):

I have waited almost three years to finally purchase the BluRay set since Warner Home Video made this 20th Century Fox TV-produced series available onto the DVD/BluRay format, and picture and video-wise, the product is, of course, worthy of the visual aspects of the digital marvels. but what is not satisfactory here, is the lack of actual rare promotional material. "BATMAN" was a very popular TV series for the ABC Television Network in 1966, and it's impact was highly popular enough, that Warner Home Video and 20th Century Fox could've done a better job here, by showing all the ABC promos, and even showing footage, like episodes of "THE HOLLYWOOD PALACE" which Adam West as "Batman" had hosted. this variety series was a landmark show at ABC, or even the "MILTON BERLE SHOW" that featured both Batman and The Green Hornet in some skits, so this collection failed miserably to secure the actual RARE material that serious fans really deserved for this box set! fortunately, Image Entertainment in 2000 was good enough to show both the ABC and syndication promos with the "HOLY BATMANIA" TV special, so this Blu-Ray collection is good, but far from great! the BATMAN TV series deserved far more materials because it was a major phenomenon in 1966 Primetime TV, and was also iconic! I give this a 3-star rating because visually, the BluRay set is superior, but the people of Warner Home Video failed to secure the other materials that were essential to the media aspect of the 1966-68 ABC series, and for whatever reasons involved, they still could've done a better job here!

Comments about Batman Complete Series (Repackage/Blu-ray):

THIS IS THE REPACKAGED VERSION FROM THE EARLIER ULTIMATE LIMITED EDITION. NOT INCLUDED IS THE BATMOBILE MODEL AND THE TRADING CARD REPRODUCTIONS. APART FROM THAT, IT WAS INSPIRED MOVE TO RELEASE THE ORIGINAL 1966-1968 TELEVISION SERIES IN BLU-RAY, FOR IT SHOWCASES THE TOP-TIER PRODUCTION VALUES AND IS SUPERIOR TO ANY VERSION BEING SHOWN ON BROADCAST TELEVISION. THE 12O EPISODES ARE PRESENTED IN BROADCAST ORDER, THERE IS A WEALTH OF SPECIAL FEATURES: ADAM WEST WITH THE FIRST EPISODE TELEPLAY (WITH PERSOINAL NOTATIONS), DETAILING THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SERIES, THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE GENERAL BAT-MANIA PHENOMENON, A 1967 TEASER INTRODUCTION FOR YVONNE CRAIG AS BATGIRL, AND SCREEN TESTS, AMONG MANY OTHER ATTRACTIONS. FOR THE BATMAN DEVOTEE, THIS IS THE ULTIMATE COLLECTORS ITEM.

Comments about Batman Complete Series (Repackage/Blu-ray):

"I Love Lucy" and other TV shows and movies that WB brought to Blu-Ray were remastered in Lossless audio (whether or not a lossy Dolby Digital track was included)-and all were older than this 1965-68 TV series. More than likely, WB simply upped the compression rate because they wanted to cram more material onto fewer discs. THAT's probably why they didn't go for Lossless audio-not even for even this Blu-Ray release. Batman was a joyous and beloved campfest-made all the more memorable by the Hefti & Riddle score. But WB's shameful greed cut the heart out of it-and a real crime.
