            Comments about Ada (1961):

The print is quite good with very little damage: a few bad frames, some white spots.
This is another competent DVD transfer. Detail is excellent, clarity pleasing and contrast very convincing.
The dialog is clear and clean.

            RECOMMENDED!

                  Comments about Ada (1961):

I like this film and was glad to see it released. The color and contrast are very nice but the transfer is rather soft in terms of sharpness. Sound is good.

                  Comments about Ada (1961):

Just when you thought you've seen every film about the mud-slinging, muck-raking political arena from "All the King's Men"(1949) to "All the President's Men"(1976), along comes "Ada". A film based on a Pulitzer Prize nominated novel that has some kinship with "A Face in the Crowd"(1957). In the hands of Ms Hayward, power is corruption absolute. Ralph Meeker and Wilfred Hyde-White are the slimiest of politicos.

                    Comments about Ada (1961):

I purchased this DVD for myself and watch it at home exclusively.

The movie was panned at the time of its release for making the politicians unbelievable caricatures. Today, sadly, it seems as real as a docudrama.
