Playing in a rock-’n’-roll band and saving the undersea world from diabolical villains? An impossible task for most, but not for Jabberjaw, the 15-foot talking great white shark from the fan-favorite Saturday morning cartoon series. The year is 2076 and Jabberjaw is the star of the Neptunes, a teenage rock group. In his spare time, Jabberjaw, along with teens Biffy, Shelly, Bubbles and Clamhead, fight deep sea crime. But its tough down there for a shark. Jabberjaw must also contend with the robot force of “Shark Ejectors,” guards who prevent sharks from entering into underwater cities. All he wants is a little respect! Catch the tidal wave of adventure, music and laughter in this 4-Disc, 16-Episode Series Collection.

it is exactly what I expected.

"Scooby-Doo" for the seaworld set. Of all of the Scooby-Doo knock-offs that brought Hanna Barbera through the '70s, "Jabberjaw" is probably one of the more well-known; and Warner Archive has just given us the opportunity to experience the series in its entirety again with very well translated archival footage.
For NOT being remastered, I continue to be impressed with the releases ushered forward by Warner Archive. Keep them coming.

Comments about Jabberjaw:
Jabberjaw is not one of the early originals, but it is unique in other ways. This one stands out as many of the HB classics do. Maybe the shark "jabs" a bit much, but it is "one to watch and remember." It came at a time when the big names were starting to run their course. This has a solid place in history. You remember the name, which is why it is worth purchasing and watching again and again.

Yet again another of the classic Hanna Barbera cartoons. Keep them coming and I will keep buying. Would love to see Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan, Herculoids, and just about any other from that era.

Warner Archives does it again!
Keep putting out more Hanna Barbera OOP Classics!
Clue Club, Buford and the Galloping Ghost, Inch High Private Eye, there are so many other gems in their vault....let them see the light of day!
I am SURE I am not alone on this!
Comments about Jabberjaw:
Ohmygawd! Truly, this is another of the classics I have been waiting for! Along with Speed Buggy and Thundarr the Barbarian (which I have gotten and reviewed!), Jabberjaw is old school cool. Nothing like watching zanny action sequences with an underwater twist and often a bit of James Bond spy intrigue to go along with it. And who could forget the "music video" chase sequences towards the end of the show?
Like with the others I have gotten, I'm very pleased to be an owner of this collection. I'm looking forward to seeing others that WB has back in the vault.
Comments about Jabberjaw:
I watch Jabberjaw as I enjoyed it when it previously appeared a one of many Hanna-Barbera shows featured on USA's Cartoon Express in the 80's. Although some may consider it a seaworld-based clone of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You (and I can understand the comparison), it's unique to me in that Jabberjaw is a different character from Scooby. After all, he's a talking shark who's also a drummer (LOL).
For lovers of Hanna-Barbera lore or of simply humorous cartoons appealing first to pre-teens (?) and then to cartons of all ages, this show is for you. It's my hope Warner Brothers will continue to release more classic cartoons via their manufacture on demand (MOD) program.
