A less known Nicholas Ray classic
By Tim from SF, CA on 11/21/2011
Pros:
Engaging Characters, Entertaining, Great Cinematography
Describe Yourself:
Movie Buff
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Party Girl (DVD):

It may not be as famous as Rebel Without a Cause or as notorious as Johnny Guitar or as powerful as In a Lonely Place, but this is definitely worth checking out if you like Ray's work. It has some memorable scenes, some great Metrocolor cinematography, and some annoying dance numbers that hardly serve to move the plot along.
