Comments about Beggar's Opera, The (DVD):
I'm very familiar with the original movie and had long awaited it on a 'US' playable DVD.
However, the quality was disappointing; although described as new, the disc was difficult to play. Its surface was smeared and needed to be cleaned. Even so, it still skipped frequently and stopped before the final scenes.
