Media Formats

Warner Bros. sells a variety of media formats, giving you alternative ways to
view our movies and tv shows. Here is a quick description of them:

DVD - stands for Digital Video Disc and stores more than 6 times the data of a
Compact Disc.

Blu-ray Disc - also known as Blu-ray or BD. The name for this media format is
derived from the blue laser which is used to read the high-definition video
data that is stored on this type of disc.

On Demand - in the wbshop, on demand refers to any movie or tv content which
can be downloaded to own or view on a rental basis. To learn more about On
Demand products from wbshop.com, click here.

Games - wbshop.com sells games for most gaming platforms including Wii, PS2,
PS3, and Nintendo. These are all physical discs at present.

Digital Copy - Digital Copy is a copy of a movie which can be quickly and legally
transferred to your computer for you to enjoy on the go! Your Digital Copy can be
copied to a Windows PC (Windows XP or above) and can be transferred to a compatible
portable media device. For some titles, Digital Copy also includes an iTunes® version
which can be viewed on a Windows PC or Macintosh and can be transferred to an iPod or
other iTunes® video compatible devices.

Included with the DVD is an insert that contains the authorization code needed to unlock
the Digital Copy over the Internet, so have that handy and make sure you're online.

To get your Digital Copy, follow these 3 easy steps:

  1. 1. Insert the disc with the Digital Copy into the DVD drive. A menu with instructions
should pop up to guide you through the Digital Copy process.
  2. 2. Click on the "Get Your Digital Copy" button.
  3. 3. When prompted, redeem the authorization code and the Digital Copy transfer
to your computer will begin. (This will probably take up at least a gigabyte of hard
drive space so make sure you've got room!)
